Effective Presentations: Own the room and convert your audience

By David Kocol

What makes a bad presentation?

What makes a good presentation?
Does your audience leave knowing what you want them to know?

A presentation to a group is your chance to share vital information, to sell them on an idea, and win their hearts and minds (and their checkbook). So often, presentations are not well thought out, have a weak call to action or none at all. With a well done presentation, you should have a captive an interested audience who has aligned their way of thinking with yours – because you persuaded them to do so.

We will discuss the 5 essential elements of any presentation:
Purpose, Message, Audience, Call to Action, and Drive behind the call to action.

Additionally, we will discuss why you MUST begin crafting your presentation with your end goal in mind. Focusing on how you want your presentation to engage your audience- guiding thoughts, feelings, and even what they’ll be talking about when they leave your presentation.

We will also cover some best practices and some “Never Do This” tips. Our goal is to share with you how to make a great presentation so you can own the room and covert your audiences.

Most presentations stink. Do yours?

Would you like to learn how to create genuine interest and audience passion for your topic?

Join us on June 26th as we build a strong foundation for presentation excellence.

Meet our Expert: David Kocol

David made his exit from corporate America and created his own job in the new world economy…an exciting, invigorating transition after 27 years with Xerox. His Training and Tech Support helps him share technical ideas with non-technical people.

David serves Business Owners, Speakers & Presenters, Authors, Actors and Comedians….and especially enjoys working with Small Business Owners to achieve powerful videos.  Videos to use on their site, on DVD for marketing and in social media campaigns!  Videos that allow clients to connect with their prospects and customers personally and professionally. David uses Video as the primary tool for this, and helps clients with audio and digital photo products as well.

David’s specialty is creating short videos for the web, including posting on social media.  His firm does short videos, intros and trailers for businesses and individuals.  He advocates a series of short, single subject videos that address one particular point each….what he calls “30 second Videos” – brief videos with long lasting impact.
